Just sent off my book report on "The Servant," by James C. Hunter. I really enjoyed reading this book. It both affirmed some of the things I'm already doing and challenged me to grow in other areas.
I think the principles in this book are so vital to effective Biblical leadership that I'm considering making it required reading for staff in my department who are moving into leadership roles.

Stormy weather!
We've been under some pretty nasty weather the last couple of days. Yesterday was the day of tornados. I even got to video record some of our belongings before heading to the basement. Needless to say, I didn't have to make use of our Renter's Insurance (reminds me, the annual premium is due next week!)
The radar image is from the actual time of this post...yup...like, right now. We're looking at the possibility of more severe thunderstorms for the next few hours. Tons of rain, lots of lightning, and high winds are forcasted for today.

I'm published!
Hey everyone, guess what? I'm a published author! Ok, not planning on changing careers or anything, but it is kinda cool.
About a month and a half ago, I received a phone call from the editor of an online magazine, Faith and Fitness, wondering if I'd be interested in writing an article for their June/ July issue (they got my name off a Christian adventure program website.) After thinking about it, I thought "why not?"
